The main entrance is through the Filarete Tower. Inside, Ludovico il Moro’s “Ponticella” bridge linked the ducal apartments to the now-vanished outer walls. 

10. Potala Palace, China

The Potala Palace is the former residence of the Dalai Lama before fleeing to India due to the Chinese invasion. The fifth Dalai Lama built it between 1645 and 1694. Once housing an invaluable cultural heritage, including over 100,000 lost volumes due to bombing, it has thirteen floors and over a thousand rooms.
